Description
Provence is known worldwide for its exquisite rosé wines made from native black grape varieties. This elegant expression from local producer Jean-Luc Colombo is an excellent introduction to the style with its dry, refreshing and optimistic personality.
Made with local Syrah, Cinsault and Mourvedre grapes, this delicate rosé opens with aromas of red currants, cherries and Mediterranean herbs such as oregano and thyme. Taste the wine and you will be greeted with notes of ripe strawberries, raspberries and black olives along with an abundance of fresh acidity. The light body and fresh, clean finish make this wine an excellent choice to serve as a summer aperitif or to accompany a generous plate of fruits de mer or grilled fish dishes.
Jean-Luc creates this delicious rosé from grapes grown in his pioneering vineyards nestled in the hills above Marseille. Here the limestone soils, the fresh sea breezes and the scents of the surrounding Mediterranean garrigue help to refine a vibrant and aromatic wine that evokes the splendid local landscape and the lively lifestyle of the Côte d'Azur with every sip. To preserve the pure character of the vines and the distinctive taste of the terroir, Jean-Luc ferments the wine in stainless steel tanks.
