This wine is produced from vineyards with an average age of 25 years, located at 200, 300 and 400 meters above sea level, with various exposures. The soil is poor and rocky, composed mainly of clay and limestone. The production area is located in Castelnuovo dell'Abate, overlooking the Orcia river valley in the south-east region of Montalcino. The harvest is carried out manually. The selection of the grapes is extremely rigorous, with very low yields. Vinification in wooden vats, spontaneous fermentation and very prolonged maceration, with pumping over in the open air. Aged in 30 hl oak barrels for 30 months. Bottled November 23, 2021.
